SharePoint Connector Apps (Jira and Confluence)
Privacy Policy

Effective on 2024-03-31

Thank you for choosing ikuTeam, Lda apps and platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our SharePoint Connector Apps hosted on AWS services or installed on your servers. We are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and Australian Privacy Act.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal data from users of our SharePoint Connector Apps. We have designed our apps in a way that does not require or request any personal information from you. We understand the importance of privacy and are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your data. You can use our apps with confidence, knowing that your personal information remains private and protected.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect any personal data from users of our SharePoint Connector Apps, we do not retain any personal information. Any data generated or provided by you during the use of our apps is solely within your control. We do not store or retain this data on our systems.

As a result, you can rest assured that your data remains private and confidential. We do not retain any personal data beyond the duration of your app usage or as required by applicable laws or regulations.

Please note that any data you provide or upload to our apps may be subject to your own data retention and deletion policies. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws and regulations when using our apps.

If you have any questions or concerns about data security or retention, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@ikuteam.com.

Data Residency

At ikuTeam, we prioritize the privacy and security of your data. We want to assure you that we do not store any personal identifiable information or critical data. The data we store is limited to user tokens and share IDs relations, which are essential for the functioning of our SaaS B2B apps. Please note that currently, we store this limited data on AWS infrastructure in the USA or EU (Germany) depending on your Atlassian product data residency setup and geographic location. While we take appropriate measures to protect your data, it's important to be aware that data may be transferred and stored in countries outside of your own jurisdiction, including the USA or EU (Germany), where data protection laws may differ. By using our SaaS B2B apps and providing that data, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of this limited data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

IMPORTANT: if you use the DataCenter or Cloud apps with the option “Replicate Storage Permissions” ON, no data is stored or transferred on our end, not even the tokens. Everything is saved on the user’s end.

If you have any specific concerns or questions regarding data residency or international data transfers, please feel free to contact us at support@ikuteam.com. We are committed to addressing any inquiries and providing transparency regarding the handling of your data.

Security Measures

We also prioritize the security and protection of your data. We have implemented robust security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your information. While no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, we follow industry best practices and employ a range of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our security measures include but are not limited to:

  • Encryption: We use encryption techniques to secure the transmission and storage of data within our systems.
  • Access Controls: We have implemented strict access controls to ensure that only authorized personnel can access your data.

While we take these measures to protect your data, it is important to remember that no security measures are foolproof. We continuously monitor and update our security practices to adapt to emerging threats and maintain the highest level of data security.

Integration permissions with Atlassian products

The apps require these permissions in the Atlassian host instances to function properly

  • Act on a user's behalf, even when the user is offline. This is used to make sure Confluence Macros and Jira Issues display content shared by a user correctly, even when the user is not online.
  • Administer Confluence spaces and Jira projects. These permissions allow the app to be added or removed from specific spaces and projects and even define some settings at the space/project level.
  • Write data to the host application. To save a new macro in a Confluence page or an attachment to a Jira issue, the app needs to write data in the host application.
  • Delete data from the host application. To edit or remove a new macro in a Confluence page or an attachment to a Jira issue, the app needs to delete data in the host application.
  • Read data from the host application. To display a macro in a Confluence page or an attachment to a Jira issue, the app needs to read stored data in the host application.

Changes

If we are involved in a reorganization, merger, acquisition or sale of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. We may notify you (for example, via a message to the email address associated with your Atlassian Marketplace purchase) of any such deal and outline your choices in that event.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time, and will post the most current version on our website. If a revision meaningfully reduces your rights, we will notify you.
